In the previous blog, I introduced a Busho who supported Minamoto no Yoritomo to establish Kamakura shogunate. "The 13 lords of the Shogun" the NHK taiga drama will start broadcasting in 2022. I hope this blog will give you a deeper understanding of the story. And most of all, I would love to introduce about the relationship between Minamoto no Yoritomo and some descendants of Fujiwara no Hidesato.

In this blog, I would like to write about "Adachi Morinaga" who was one of the 13 shoguns supported Minamoto no Yoritomo.
After Yoritomo's death, 13 Shoguns who supported him started fighting for the next chair.
Adachi Morinaga was one of 13 Shoguns. He was very close to Yoritomo and well trusted.
As it is known as Morinaga helped the relationship between Yoritomo and his wife, Masako.
Moreover, he is uncle of Adachi Tomoto, who was also one of the 13 Shoguns.
They both have same surname "Adachi", but their Kanji is different.
Adachi Morinaga is "安達盛長" in Kanji.
Adachi Tomoto is "足立遠元" in Kanji.
As where they were born was different, they have different surname. However, they are relatives.
